Many thanks go to The Berkshire for the wonderful welcome the County players had for the 2023 Tegner Trophy and Tournament Cup. The Berkshire Ladies members gave everyone a warm greeting, and helped with our running of the competition, ball spotting, and kind assistance with information. Thank you!
We had a full field of 40 players from 14 Berkshire clubs. The 36 hole competition started in the morning with weather nobody would like to play in, some heavy showers took their toll on the players, but fortunately after a very nice lunch that Tom and his staff had organised for everyone, they were back out in dry but cloudy conditions,
Out president Airlie Dyson was on hand as starter for the morning and afternoon, and presented to following prizes and trophies.

3rd Scratch
3rd place ocb from The Berkshire was Emma Newlove
And the 4th place in this large field went to Chloe Walkington from Castle Royle with Gross 159
Tournament Cup
The Tournament cup is presented to the best Nett score for both rounds, and this year the winner was Lottie Cadle from Calcot Park with a very good Nett of 150.
2nd place for the Nett prize was Amy Nemeth Yuile from Bearwood Lakes with a Nett of 151. Unfortunately Amy was unable to be with us for the prize giving,
And 3rd prize was Emma Newlove from The Berkshire with Nett 152

The most improved score for the Tegner competition was won by Julie Myall with and amazing 20 shot difference. She is now the first holder of our new trophy made and presented by Charlie Keenan.

The top 16 will now go through to the knock out rounds for the Berkshire Champion over the next 2 days
