Many thanks to Maidenhead Golf Club for hosting the 2nd and 3rd Division Spring meetings. We had 42 players from 14 different clubs taking part in the 2 Divisions.
The weather started out cloudy but dry, and most of the 2nd Division managed to complete the course having remained dry. Sadly this was not the case for the 3rd Division who got caught in the afternoon rain that had been forecast. However, that didn’t dampen their spirits, and both sections enjoyed the course with varying scores in the 2nd division and closely fought scores in the 3rd Division. The course, challenging their golf and expertly managed by Martin Dearlove.
All came in to a well deserved lunch of lasagne and salad .
Our County Captain Charlie Keenan was on hand to present the prizes as follows:
2nd Division
Because the Autumn meeting has now be changed to a 4BBB, the trophies have been moved to the Spring meeting.
The Aspect Trophy is awarded for the Highest Scratch Stableford Score, the winner for 2023 was:

Sue Elsbury from Hennerton with a score of 17

Runner up to the Aspect Trophy was Sheila Hayes from Newbury & Crookham with a score of 11
The Coronation Bronze Medal is awarded for the best Nett Stableford the winner for 2023 was:

Annie Mindry from Maidenhead with a nett 36

And runner up for the medal was Libby Greenland from winter Hill with 33 points ocb

The top 16 scores will go through to play the Ann Bryant Bronze Championship knock out, the full list of qualifying players is attached, and will be contacted by Ann Pennell – organiser of this event.
3rd Division
Again the trophy has been moved from the autumn meeting to the spring, and was closely fought over, but the winner was Dawn Ledgard from Easthampstead ladies with a score of 34 – ocb final 6


2nd place was Anita Brack from Winter Hill – also with 34 points

3rd place was Judy Jones from Castle Royle with 34 points ocb back 9

And the 4th place went to Estelle Howick from East Berks with 33 points

Congratulations to all the winners.
It was lovely to see ladies taking part in the County competition for the first time and enjoying themselves.
