After 41 mm of rain the previous day, our intrepid team of Julie Sheppard, Gillian Godson, Lynn Griffiths, Pat Bennett, Cathy Jones, Alison Blackmore, Teresa Taylor and Airlie Dyson, were encouraged that Calcot Park was actually open. We played Surrey in a 4 BBB friendly match, but despite local knowledge, we lost 3 matches and halved one. At least the day was dry.
Our final friendly match is on 12th September at Cowdray Park. I’d be delighted to hear from anyone who has not already contacted me to say that they would like to play.
