
Held at Reading Golf Club on Friday April 22nd
This year the Tegner Trophy was back to its usual April slot and was a one day 36 hole event, with the County Championship qualifier.
We were very lucky to have a dry day but cloudy, and windy at times, at the new Reading course. There was an early start for all the players, and the new Reading course proved challenging for all
Very many thanks go to the management, catering and bar staff who were all extremely helpful in the organisation and running of this competition.
As always there were some good scores, and the results were well deserved. Thank you to our County President, Airlie for presenting the prizes.

The winner of the Tegner Trophy for 2022 with am/pm 154 Gross was :
Chloe Walkington of Castle Royle GC

2nd Place
Very close Runner up with a Gross score am/pm of 156 was Isabella Kent also Castle Royle GC

3rd Place
And in 3rd place with a gross 163 am/pm was Tracy Crew of Reading GC.
The most improved Gross score over the morning and afternoon rounds was awarded the Elizabeth Jacobs Clock, and this prize went to Emily Savage of Goring & Streatley Golf club with and 8 stroke gain:
The Tournament Cup is awarded to the Total net handicap scores over the 2 rounds.
This year, it was a double winner! Chloe Walkington from Castle Royle also won the Tournament Cup
Very well done Chloe! Her net handicap points were 146

2nd Place
Runner up for the Tournament Cup was Sammy Collier of Castle Royle GC with net handicap points of 153.

3rd Place
The 3rd place in the Total net handicap went to Pat Bennett with a total of 154 points:
16 of the total field will now go forward to play on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th for the Berkshire County Ladies Championship being held at The Caversham home of Reading Golf Club.
All spectators are welcome over the weekend to support your club players. The start sheets will be available on the web
