Many thanks go to Winter Hill for hosting the 2nd and 3rd Division Autumn meeting. There was a good entry field for the changed format of 4BBB.
We were extremely lucky with the weather which remained dry for the players, although there was a bit of a chilly wind. The new format was well received and players all commented on the friendly atmosphere of the day. This was also supported by the fantastic help we had in organising the day from the staff at Winter Hill, Aaron in the pro shop and Joel/David and team behind the bar and in the kitchen for our catering. Of course, our thanks also go to the lady members for their help and time that day.
And now for the results:
In 1st place with 39 points – Sheila Hayes and Ann Mrowiec ( Newbury & Crookham). Sheila (county Sec. ) was on her way up to a meeting at Woodhall Spa & unable to be at the prize giving
In 2nd Place with 37 points ocb – Ann Francis and Jo Bedwell (Bradfield College)
In 3rd Place with 37 points ocb -Amanda Shevills and Celia Gibson (Maidenhead)
Nearest the Pin on 8th – From the home club – Libby Greenland (Winter Hill)
This competition now completes the set competitions for the year, however, the Winter Match play is starting for the year 22/23.
