Many thanks go to Newbury & Crookham Golf Course for hosting this years President’s Salvers. We had 48 players from 10 different clubs, who had the best weather of the year so far, to play the course! Many of the players remarked on how lovely the course was looking, and we have to thank Chris Ball and his green staff for such care and attention. The 2 tee start meant all players were in for a lunchtime carvery presented by Adi and Ali – the caterers – and fit for a King! Certainly there was a very convivial feel to the whole day!
Our Lady President Airlie Dyson gave us an awe-inspiring history of her golfing career and trophies at Newbury from an early age as a junior. Clearly a sport you can play all through your career and life! Airlie went on to present the prizes for this year’s event –
Winners of the Presidents Salvers for this year was Bradfield College 43 points ocb back 6!

A VERY close runner up – and they played with the winners! From Newbury & Crookham with 43 points Julie Myall and Ann Mrowiec
Third prize went to Susan Flood from Reading and Di Wizard from Sonning with 42 points
Prizes were also given for the Best Front and Back 9, and these went to:
Best Front 9 – Sarah Fowler and Gill Lane from Donnington Grove with 22 points
And the Best Back 9 was won by Lou Willson and Sheila Hayes with 21 points
Very well done to all players, and we hope to see you at the other events this year!
