Berkshire Seniors Jane Sly, Fran Campbell, Linda Hunt and Pat Bennett enjoyed a week at Vilamoura in the Algarve playing in the 30th International Portuguese Senior Ladies Competition and can report some success.
Pat and Linda came 2nd gross in the 4BBB on the rather tricky Victoria course with an excellent score of 71 being pipped by 1 shot by a couple of Finnish ladies.
Jane won the net singles competition (3rd gross 84/83) in the Teresa Symington Trophy competition over two rounds at The Old Course and Pinhal. The trophy was won by Mary McLaren (IRL) 77/81 in a hard fought battle with Heike Werres (GER) 2nd by 2 shots.
Much fun was had!
