Match report BLCGS v Sussex Lady Captains 16 August 2022
The sixth of the summer matches was a match played at Sand Martins Golf Club against the Sussex Captains. I was impressed that one BLCGS lady managed to wear this season’s new jumper despite the warm weather. Most of these new jumpers haven’t been out of the cupboards very much this summer.
Sand Martins has managed to keep green grass on all of its fairways and the fescue grass on the back nine has dried a gold colour and is very striking when it wafts in the breeze. I am repeating myself in these reports but it was again another very warm day. All the matches played were tight and despite the hot weather everyone played 18 holes.
