Wet and soggy doesn’t stop Laura
Last week several of the county ladies went over to Cardiff to play in the Welsh Ladies Seniors Championships. They included, Laura Webb, Linda Hunt, Sheree Dove-Wilde, Jane Sly, Fran Campbell, Donna Hunt and Pat Bennett.
From reports received, Cardiff Golf Course was very waterlogged, after days of heavy rain. This resulted in the the practice day having been cancelled, so they knew the conditions were going to be tough. Looking at the scores this seems to have been borne out.
However, it doesn’t seem to have stopped Laura, who lying second after the first day, shoot a final 74 to win the Championships by 3 shots.
Well done Laura!
Also, we should mention Jane Sly who finished 8th.
