Junior Fun Competition Days

These sessions are generally designed for BEGINNERS AND IMPROVERS WITH OR WITHOUT JUNIOR HANDICAPS.

Any girl may enter, whether they are attending BGG coaching or not. Non-members will be asked to complete an Annual Membership Application Form.

The Courses selected for the Fun Competitions offer the choice of playing a Par 3 or short course as well as playing a full length 9 holes or sometimes 18 holes.

The aim is to provide you with the opportunity to compete on a golf course (perhaps for the first time) in a friendly and safe environment under constant adult supervision and guidance.

There will be at least one adult for each group of 2 or 3 girls.

You will be encouraged to keep scorecards correctly and will be taught the etiquette of on-course play.

For improvers, it gives you opportunity to mark a card towards gaining or improving your BGG handicap even if you are not a member of a Golf Club (see Handicap section of the website).

There us a small charge of £5 towards the green fees, snack and prizes. Times of  Fun events vary depending on the venue.

You will need to supply your own equipment. Please let us know if you need to borrow some as this can usually be arranged.
