Berkshire Seniors team gave a great account of themselves in the prestigious Ten Counties Competition on Monday 18th Spetember. The team of Jane Sly, Linda Hunt, Tracy Crew and Katherine Irving travelled to Highwoods GC near Hastings in Sussex to play. The best 3 medal scores out of 4 are added together with the winner being the least shots.
Gale force winds and sideways rain made the hilly parkland course particularly difficult, yet Berkshire managed to take 2nd place with a score of 244 and were 1 shot away from winning, being pipped by Sussex with 243.
We were very glad of the support of our president, Airlee, who made the journey and walked around with us in such hideous weather.
Next year Berkshire will host this end of season competition and hope to go one better and win it!
