Held at Farnham Golf Club
on 29th July 2022
The meeting held at Farnham gave us great summer weather to play the slightly hilly course of 5,757 yards. Quite a challenging course in beautiful condition. There were a few comments regarding the tricky bunkers, long carries and blind shots, however, the overwhelming response for those ladies who had not played it before was that it was a fantastic course which they would like to play again.
We were warmly welcomed by the team at the club and the two course buffet lunch in the dining room was apparently delicious. The feedback I received was that the day was a great success, efficiently organised by the BLCGS committee.
68 ladies played in pairs and competed for prizes of a mix of vouchers and plants. The prize winners were 1st pair Ann Francis and Sally Puxley (both Bradfield College), 2nd pair Kathryn Price (Easthampstead Ladies) and Jackie Dowden (Sand Martins), 3rd pair Linda Harris (Reading) and Barbara Salisbury (Henley). 4th pair Beata McGuiness and Denise Star (both Maidenhead)
Best front nine winners Lucie Robson and Sue Hampson (both Bearwood Lakes) and Best back nine Carol Taylor and Ann Williams (both Goring and Streatley)
Nearest the pin winners were Sarah Fowler (Donnington Grove), Rita Ellils (Sand Martins) and Gill Lane (Donnington Grove)
