BLCGS played their match against Oxfordshire Lady Captains at Henley GC on Thursday 1st June. There was a cold blustery wind blowing when we started and we were glad to be wearing our long sleeved sweaters. It took a while for the sun to break through the clouds and although the wind continued to blow we enjoyed the warm afternoon sunshine. The course is very picturesque and interesting, however there are lots of bunkers which make many of the holes challenging and demanding. We all enjoyed the course and it is one of the golf courses l definitely want to play again. As it says on the score card it is Welcoming, Challenging, Inspiring, and Rewarding.
Thank you to all the Berkshire ladies who played and a special thank you to the two ladies who played at very short notice when two of the original team were unable to play due to injuries.
