We had a most enjoyable match at Harleyford GC against Buckinghamshire Lady Captains. The course was interesting, and the greens were quick but quite difficult to read. There were some quite long walks between green and tee. Fortunately, it was warm but not as hot as it had been earlier in the week. Although, unfortunately, we lost the match 5-3, five of the eight matches went to the 18th green. This photograph is one of the many sculptures dotted around the course. Some recently returned from the Chelsea Flower show.
Everyone enjoyed the day, and the matches were played in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. The buffet meal after the match was very good and a perfect way to end our day at Harleyford.
