BLCGS Autumn Meeting 2022
Held at Sand Martins Golf Club on 6 October 2022
The meeting held at my home club attracted 54 players on an autumn day that was fresh but thankfully not wet or windy. The golf course had recovered extremely well from the summer drought and it was great to see lots of green grass rather than the brown and burnt grass on which we have all played this summer.
There was a change to the usual buffet lunch and the club provided a carvery lunch in the dining room. As a change too, which seemed to be well appreciated, the main prizes for this meeting were bottles of cava/prosecco in addition to the John Lewis vouchers.
The feedback I received was that the day was a great success, efficiently organised by the ladies of the BLCGS committee. Our new spreadsheets have speeded up producing the winners names for the presentations.
The prize winners were:
Division 1. Ist Jo Giles (Sand Martins), 2nd Ann Williams (Goring and Streatley), 3rd Sarah Fowler (Donnington Grove) and 4th Linda Hunt (Newbury and Crookham.
