Berkshire Seniors team closed out their final league game versus Hampshire at East Berkshire Golf Club earlier today.
The course was presented in immaculate condition on a beautiful sunny day and we were looked after exceptionally well by the whole team at the club.
All games were closely contested with 4 games finishing on the 18th green. Despite our best efforts Hampshire managed to win 4-3 which puts them in a great position to win the league with their final game coming up against Hertfordshire on the 17th August.

Regardless of the outcome of that final match, Berkshire have secured 4th place in the league beating Buckinghamshire in to 5th place by 14 games to 11.5.
It is worthy of mention that 3 of our 4 league matches were lost by 3 games to 4 (vs Hampshire, Hertfordshire and Oxfordshire) whilst we managed a 5-2 win over Buckinghamshire. We have therefore performed much better than the league table gives credit for having been so close in each match without scoring the valuable to point for draws and wins.
