2019 Team Competition
8 teams took part in the County Team Competition held at Downshire Golf Complex on Saturday 21st
September on a warm and sunny day.
Congratulations to the Berkshire team of (left to right) Amrit Hira, Charlotte Hienzsch and Katy Lansley on winning the Midland South Handicap Team Final at Shirley Golf Club on Tuesday August 31st 2021.
Berkshire qualified for the final by winning the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire league with Northamptonshire qualifying by winning the Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire & Herefordshire league.
It was a very close contest against the girls from Northants with two of the three matches being keenly fought by the girls right to the 18th hole. Amrit halved her match and Charlotte just lost out on the 18th. The match score was therefore 1½:1½. The team won on holes up though as Katy was on great form and won her match by 7&5. Well done to all the team!
