Our last match this year was held at Hennerton against the Reading & District Men on the 7th September.
This year we decided to change the format of the match to a four-ball better-ball competition, as we’ve had trouble in the past satisfying everybody. This seemed to work very well and most, if not all, of the players were happy with the new format. The subject will be discussed during the closed season between the two teams.
The weather was really beautiful, if a tad hot, so much so that we supplied extra drinking water on the course as some players got very de-hydrated.
We were treated to a delicious two-course dinner after the match.
