Thursday morning brought the prospect of the tail end of Hurricane Ida upsetting our day with the forecast of thunderstorms! Thankfully our fears were not realised and whilst there was the occasional shower, all in all, the weather behaved itself.
The welcome provided to all our competitors by the staff at this wonderful club was nothing less than outstanding. Amy Tindle-Rae could not have done more to assist the BCLGA in organising these competitions and ensuring that everything our ladies needed was provided. Jimmy Dickens with Seth provided scrumptious pastries at the beginning of the day, followed by a wonderful array of post competition salads which were enjoyed by everyone.
The Maidenhead Lady Captain Eileen Clarke was our starter, and then Eileen kindly returned later in the afternoon to present the prizes.
2nd Division Results
Winner: Sally Hart from Mapledurham with 36 points
Third Place: Carol Taylor from Goring & Streatley with 33 points
Second Place: Glen Ennis from East Berkshire with 34 points
Scratch stableford overall winner was Louise Brook from Maidenhead securing the Aspect Trophy
And Louise Brook was also awarded the aggregate Poulton Trophy for the 2021 Spring and Autumn Meetings
3rd Division Results
Winner: Catherine Wilson from Reading with 33 points
Second Place: Lynne Tarrant from Reading with 31 points
Third Place: Irene Manson from Mapledurham with 28 points
The aggregate Katy Plater Trophy for the Spring and Autumn meetings was awarded to Ruth Beattie from Mill Ride.
