Report for 2nd and 3rd Division Autumn meeting at Royal Ascot Golf Club
Berkshire County Ladies would like to thank Royal Ascot, for hosting this year’s 2nd and 3rd Division Autumn Meeting. The players had wonderful weather for their day’s golf – as you can see in the above picture!
Many thanks to Rob – their Professional and events manager – for organising the day. For Sue Wescombe RA’s Lady Captain, and Sharon Edwardes their Vice Captain for their invaluable input for the day, and thanks also to Stuart, and his team behind the bar who were so helpful on the day, making sure we had everything we needed to make the day a success.
Airlie Dyson, our President, was our starter for the day, and also an invaluable help for recording the scores, and for the Prize giving.
The results are:
In 1st place with 41 points ocb were Marion Hitchcock and Penny Bennett from Royal Ascot
In 2nd place – again with 41 points was Di Walker and Gill Biddle from Royal Ascot.
And 3rd place went to Denise Cutler and Kim Williams again from Royal Ascot, with 40 points
So, a clean sweep for Ascot for the main prizes!
BUT, the longest drive was won by Jane Cotton from Winter Hill
Very well done to all the competitors on the day!
We are now at the end of our calendar year of competitions. Congratulations to all the Trophy winners, and all of the players who have prize winners throughout the year.
We hope to see you at many of the competitions we have organised for you next year. Have a look at our County diary either on the web or hopefully now displayed by you delegate in your ladies changing rooms.
