The present County Captain (Charlie Keenan) and Second Team Captain (Donna Hunt) finish their terms of office this year. I am delighted to announce the names of the two nominees to fill these positions on the executive team.
Jules Tarr (Castle Royle) has accepted the role of County Captain and Emily Savage (Goring & Streatley) has accepted the role of Second Team Captain. Their names will go forward to be voted on at the BCLGA annual general meeting in January 2024.
Both captains are vital in all aspects of county golf, particularly in organising the county teams, encouraging new players into the squad and building team values. Matches are played within the England Golf South Midland Region and against other neighbouring counties.
Jules and Emily have played in the county teams and have the experience and integrity to perform these roles and promote the traditions of the county. Please welcome and support them.
