WELCOME TO BCLGA!
Whether you are new to golf, a low handicap player or somewhere in between, this website will give
you everything you need to know about women’s golf in Berkshire.
As a county golf association we are part of the wider structure linking golfers and clubs to
England Golf – the umbrella organisation responsible for men’s and women’s golf at
regional and national level in England.
BCLGA is run by a committee of volunteers with the aim of promoting golf for women
and girls from beginners right through to elite players. The association organises a
calendar of
events each year: these include
competitions for members of
affiliated
clubs and matches for 1st, 2nd, Junior and Senior teams.
The highlight of the year is County Week in June, when the 1st teams of the six
counties of our Midlands South region battle it out over five days of foursomes and singles matchplay
golf (new 3 day format introduced in 2018), providing a wonderful spectator opportunity for golf fans.
We invite you to visit the different sections of this website to learn more about BCLGA, download
competition entry forms and start sheets, follow the teams, and generally keep up to date with news
and results.
