Juniors - Joining a Club
When you’ve played some golf, had some coaching and experienced some of our golf days, you may be thinking of joining a club.
We can support you in finding a suitable Club.
Within the golfing world there is a national scheme that identifies and recognises junior/beginner-friendly golf clubs. This standard is known as
Golfmark
.
We can tell you which clubs have already been awarded Golfmark and which clubs are working towards achieving Golfmark.
You will probably also want to consider the following before deciding which club to join:
How easy it is getting there?
Is there an active Junior Section?
How many Junior girls there are and at what standard?
What activities does the Club provide specifically for Juniors?
How much it will cost?
Who to contact?
Berkshire Girls Golf can help you with all of the above.
Golfmark
is a national scheme that identifies and recognises junior and beginner friendly golf facilities.
The three key areas that are assessed are Coaching & Playing, Club Environment (including sports equity and ethics) and Child Protection & Duty of Care.
Once a golf club has been awarded Golfmark they are also recognised by Sport England as a Clubmark facility.
